madeira through-hike

After 123.4k & 5.699m up & 5.688m down, I finished the Madeira through-hike. It was the challenge that I wanted, though it sometimes didn't go as expected. In the end, everything went well. There were definitely some critical moments but looking back, these made it more memorable.

Unfortunately, I didn't film much or take many pictures, despite having all my equipment with me. I still struggle to balance being present in the moment with capturing videos and photos. The heavy rain and challenging paths meant the camera wasn't my priority. Still, I wanted to do something with the footage I captured, since I got a new camera and am testing it out.

I could have explored much more of the island if it weren't for my too-heavy backpack and my bloody heels—literally. But this island is incredible, and I'll definitely visit again once all the tracks are open.
